Episode 95 with Joon-Young from Mad Korean Class (Part 1)
In this week’s episode, we speak to Joon-Young from Mad Korean Class (craziest Korean class in Sinchon). We discuss the tactics of Hongdae F-Boys (including some pretty debatable pickup lines), Koreaboos, leaving home for the States at 16 as an exchange student and dealing with bullies. We also get into the perceptions young Koreans have of Westerners (before meeting any), some differences between Western and Korean teenagers and strategies for fitting in when studying abroad. Plenty more, too, this week, including (but not limited to) cultural differences between American and British high schools, reasons for starting Mad Korean Class and the differences in language-learning approaches between Koreans and Westerners. Something for everyone, as per. Get on it.
