A lot of people are curious but a bit intimidated by the prospect of growing and processing their own medicinal plants. Generally, I’ve been someone who just tries things and gets my hands dirty and figures it out, and at this point I’ve been doing this with growing medicinal plants for some years and have some things to say.
In this solo ramble episode, I share about the journey that led me to growing and processing my own medicinals, which plants Cait and I grow now, challenges we have had, how I process and put up these plants to last beyond the growing season, and recommendations for someone just getting started. Hint: It’s way easier and more possible than you might think.
This episode is geared towards someone who knows something already about herbal medicine and natural health but who hasn’t done the gardening part yet and might want to. Also relevant to gardeners who are interested in herbal medicine and meant as a companion to last week's episode with Margaret about food growing.
