
In the first episode of this three part series on translational science, Matthew interviews Dr. Chris Austin, CEO of Vesalius Therapeutics about what the discipline of translational science is.
Chris gives his definition of the process of biomedical translation, as well as what translational science is and how it relates to this overall process. Chris highlights how translational science seeks to understand the reasons behind why therapeutics fail and how these factors can be mitigated, with the ultimate goal of accelerating the development of novel therapeutics.
