Hey y’all! It’s the Slugs & Bugs podcast where we talk about faith, family, and the music of Slugs & Bugs.
What does it look like to teach children not just songs about God, but songs that invite them to worship God? In this episode, Randall Goodgame sits down with Laney Stayton, Curriculum Coordinator for Teach Us to Worship, a new resource from the Presbyterian Church in America.
Laney and her team commissioned Slugs & Bugs’ latest single, “Oh Come, Let Us Worship”—a joyful, word-for-word setting of Psalm 95:6-7 (ESV)—as the theme song for their new curriculum. Together, Randall and Laney unpack how these verses shape children’s understanding of who God is, what it means to worship, and how it connects us in community.
You’ll hear why teaching theology through scripture songs matters from the youngest ages and gain a vision for multigenerational participation in worship.
