In this episode, I sat down with Author, Mary Wainwright, a woman who turned her love of reading and writing into a twelve-year career teaching English as a second language. But after becoming disillusioned with the institution of public education, she redirected that energy toward something far more personal and powerful: reclaiming her children’s education through home schooling, their time as a family, her body as a woman, her health through food, her connection to femininity, and ultimately, her faith.
Today, she lives with her husband and three children in a way that reflects deep purpose: growing and gathering their food, adventuring in nature, and communing with a tribe oflike-minded home schoolers.
It was this radical commitment to sovereignty that birthed her book, Taking Back My Life, a beautiful collection of stories that invites readers to imagine what’s possible when they give themselves permission to live freely.
No boss. No schedule. No agenda. Just truth, trust, and the courage to choose a different way.
In this episode we talked about taking back our rights, the systems that control us in ways you wouldn’t even think they are controlling us and the rights of passage that come withwomanhood that the system has intentionally stripped from our lives.
Enjoy the episode.
