44. The Vulture Stone and the Journey of the Soul | What were the Neolithic Peoples Trying to Say?

Welcome back after almost a month off! We rebranded as you can see and chose a name that isn't so corny! We discuss this name change at the beginning then dive right into the topic we have been preparing for: Pillar 43 also known as the Vulture Stone. This is one of the more prominent and mysterious stones at Gobekli located just northwest of Enclosure D, covered on one of our previous episodes. The vulture is a main figure and a main theme that shows up at Gobekli Tepe. More than that, the vulture shows up across the whole middle east in the Sanliurfa culture and the Armenian culture. Join us as we dig into what could be a very accurate star map etched onto stone depicting en epoch that destroyed civilization. Or was it simply a depiction of the worship of seeds since the Neolithic revolution happened here and seeds were what essentially changed civilization forever.

Like and subscribe to our show, we have an infinite amount coming. And listen to our bands! Alfred and the Teddinators is going on tour this summer and we want you there.
