Then we deep dive into a very haunted Daemon's weirwood dream, where dreams, magic, and reality seem to blur together. And what's eating Daemon and Ser Criston Cole? Could it be actual guilt for respectively earning their lady love's displeasure? Things aren't going so well in the Green's camp, with Aegon ascending his drinking buddies to the King's Guard, Larys Strong ingratiating himself to the king, and Aemond losing his one safe space to be vulnerable. Finally, we turn our attention to Baela, Helaena, and Rhaena. One experiences the thrill of helping the war effort on dragonback, the other processes the death of her child, and the last is entrusted with safeguarding the youngest of Rhaenyra's children.
