When the power mysteriously goes out across the country, society does not instantly break down. Transportation does. Most people simply wait. Martin thinks trouble is coming. His Plan B is to walk the 50 miles from Boston to his home in New Hampshire. His plan B must be revised. He did not plan on Susan: a woman he only knew as a teller in his bank. Traveling together, they encounter criminals out to exploit the outage and local governments intent to restrict travel. This podcast is a reading of Book 1 of Mic Roland’s 5-book Siege of New Hampshire series.

Prepper Fiction: Movie, Aftermath
Mic, Brian, and Jeff discuss the 2014 movie Aftermath: an independent production about a group of average folks who gather in a north Texas farmhouse cellar to try to survive the radioactive fallout from a nuclear war. This is another of those Everybody Dies movies. The boys comment on what the writer did well for conveying prepper knowledge, and where he missed the boat. The biggest boat he missed was assuming that fallout stayed at toxic levels for over a month. Links: The Movie: Aftermath (2014) Free on YouTube The FEMA PrepTalk about the reality of fallout and how to protect yourself.   If you are enjoying these topical episodes with Mic, Jeff, and Brian,, consider becoming a Patron on Patreon, or a monthly member at Buy Me A Coffee, Cups of virtual coffee at Buy Me A Coffee
