Episode 5: Naoe Kanetsugu, Defender of the Uesugi

This week, we are talking about Naoe Kanetsugu, a man who isn't really known to Western audiences, but it well known in Japan. Also included is a reading of the famous document called Naoe-jo, a letter that was written by him to Ieyasu before everything broke out at Sekigahara. The translation I read from is the only translation I know of from Sparrowdreams on Tumblr: https://sparrowdreams.com/post/95872037266. Also, we have merch! Check us out here: https://shop.spreadshirt.com/the-sengoku-archives/. There is also a link for it on our website at www.thesengokuarchives.com under the "Merch Shop" tab. Go there now and get 15% off your order! (offer ends 8/1/2021)
