This is the process of handing over patient care from one doc to another. Traditionally, medicine is performed in an environment where the patient and provider have a relationship based on trust and consistency of service but in the hospital, the patient’s trust has to be more in the system. Hospitalist work means: when you leave, you’re truly off. So what happens to the patient? We explore that and more this time on SLON.
