In January this year Bohemian FC in Ireland made news around the world when they appointed Seán McCabe as the world's first climate justice officer at a football club. Having worked with climate issues for close to a decade, the partnership with the fan owned club with the aim to incorporate more climate focused policies into the club's plans. In a conversation that had the failed super league in mind, we talked about what it means for a community focused club to take the lead on this issue, the banter which followed his appointment, and Seán's hopes for what football can do to tackle the coming climate crisis.
