In today's episode, Field Hockey Canada's Kevin Underhill chats with veteran Red Caribou forward Matt Sarmento. Matt made a meteoric rise to the top of the Canadian game during the mid 2010s. Getting his start in ice hockey and baseball, Matt talks about his transition to field hockey, his passion for sport and his Olympic dreams. He reflects on major milestones in his career including the 2016 Rio Olympics and walks us through some of the challenges and opportunities of the last year.

Season one of the Scoop will follow the Men's National Team on their Road to Tokyo. Each episode will feature an interview with an athlete or coach and will be centred around their hockey experiences and their preparation for the Tokyo Olympic Games.
