GodIsLove #DeenOfEase #LoveInTheQuran #AkbarianPhilosophy #IbnArabi #Sufism We welcome back to the Podcast Dr. Syed Hammad Ali from Canada! It was a joy to host him again after his last appearance on Season 2.
Dr. Syed successfully defended his PhD at the University of Calgary. Building on from our previous conversation, we spoke on the theme of love in the Qur'an, modern Muslims' deviation from this, with references to notable Islamic mystics such as ibn Arabi and Mullah Sadra. There was also a segment on the Qiraat (different recitations) of the Qur'an.
Mos was clearly outmatched in intellectual prowess, just like the last time, but there is a hint in this episode regarding his plans to mitigate that.
