Why is gold surging in popularity?

In this episode we're talkin' gold with Paul Bloxham, the chief economist at HSBC. Paul was last on in episode 99 at the start of April. That was right when Trump Tariff talk was taking off, which caused a bit of a dip in the share market. His savings tip was 'buy gold' - and now with gold at record high prices, we asked Paul if that's still relevant. We also got him to make sense of the heady share markets as well.

00:28 - HSBC's view on gold

02:18 - What's driving the hype

04:06 - Why are share markets also pumping?

05:42 - And what about property

07:52 - HSBC's take on RBA movements
