When news broke Monday morning that the Miami Dolphins had traded Jaelan Phillips to Philadelphia for a 3rd round picks in the 2026 draft, most Dolphins fans expected at least one more trade to free up cap space and add draft capital. None materialized. Now the Dolphins find themselves in a division with the dominant Buffalo Bills, a resurgent New England Patriots team, and the NY Jets, who are loaded with draft capital and fully embracing a tank and rebuild strategy. The Dolphins' approach is unclear, but seems to be pointing towards...trying to salvage the 2025 season and the job of their head coach? Yikes. Salvaging anything at all is not going to be easy as all signs point to another lopsided loss coming this week as the Buffalo Bills come to town fresh off a victory over their arch nemeses Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Aaron and Josh are back to reflect on a week where the Dolphins' position in the AFC East and NFL seems to have gone from bad to worse and to preview this Sunday's divisional matchup with the Bills.
