Two mums, both podcast listeners, both at the same church. But we both felt there was something missing. Whilst we loved our faith or parenting podcasts, few podcasts seemed to bring the two together. And when they did, they were more about the mechanics of parenting- sibling rivalry, getting your kids to read the Bible etc. But what about dealing with all the cultural and social stuff we encounter as Mum’s every day? Divorce, grief, diversity, money, mental health, disability, going back to work, friendships, illness – the list is endless but they affect our lives as mothers and our walk with Jesus. When secular culture is talking about all these things and we can’t hear God in the discussion it can seem confusing and isolating. We felt called to add Jesus to the equation of life as a mum by sharing women’s stories and experiences of how Jesus has impacted their walk with him. Jesus tells us we’re “the salt of the earth” (Matt 5.13) and we need to keep salty- that means in our whole lives and that means we need to talk about where Jesus is in motherhood too.
