Contrary to popular belief, channeling isn't always about connecting with something divine. Often, it involves interactions with various aspects of the Self that reside outside of our conscious awareness. These elements include the shadow, ego, persona, anima/animus, hero, warrior, lover, and more. Channeling can be a profound tool for self-discovery, allowing us to tap into these hidden parts of ourselves through symbolism, metaphor, story, allegory, and myth.
