This week on the Quinnipiac Athletics Podcast, hosts Dan Bahl and Matt McAuliffe sit down with Mackenzie DeWees, sophomore guard on the women’s basketball team.
Dan, Matt and Mack talk about her early life in Maryland, and what it was like playing basketball in a small town. They talk about what family means to her, her journey to Connecticut, how she and her team has grown during the 2019-20 season and some of her favorite things to do off the court.

THIS WEEK IN BOBCATS HISTORY:
February 12, 2007
The Bobcats beat Robert Morris at home by a score of 87-84. In the game, junior Monique Lee tied a women’s basketball program record, making 14 field goals in the game.
Lee isn’t a stranger to setting records for the Bobcats, as she also had two of the top five rebounding performances in team history during her career.
Lee ended her time in Hamden as one of the best to ever step on the court, scoring 1,378 points, good for 6th all-time in Division 1 program history.
