This episode is a continuation of The Primary Sanctuary Part 1. Carmen Presti introduces the audience to Sarah, the black and white capuchin monkey, who was a pet surrender. Learn about her story and how she currently aids the sanctuary in various educational programs which help to benefit her friends. You'll meet Emily, Sarah's enclosure buddy who was rescued out of Buffalo, New York. Prior to her rescue, Emily would threaten her owner and force her to hide in the bathroom. Every primate comes with an intriguing story which highlights his or her resilience and perseverance to survive. You will enjoy hearing about the monkey business these primates have been conducting throughout their lives. A discussion about Travis, the Chimp, who made headlines back in 2009 for mauling his owner's friend in Connecticut will surely leave you breathless. He was shot by police on the scene. Travis is Kiko's half-brother who currently resides at The Primate Sanctuary. This story reached the Oprah Winfrey Show where Oprah interviewed the disfigured woman, Charla, who shared her survival story of how she lost her face and hands. Learn why this unfortunate event happened and how it could have been prevented as the chimp should not have been a pet in the first place.
