How to get yourself out of debt!

How to get yourself out of debt!

This is a no sugar-coat episode where we get real and talk about some steps you can take to get yourself out of debt.

After living with a revolving $8,500 credit card debt, I got pissed because I was getting nowhere. This episode has practical steps to help you become aware and take action for yourself. Because credit card companies won't advocate for you, you have to.

Here's a link to my Dave Ramsey post: https://www.instagram.com/p/CDkTMnkl6_P/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Take Action:

1) Enter your details at this free app

https://www.everydollar.com/app/sign-in

2) Determine how long it will take you to pay off your balance (this one stings a little).

https://www.bankrate.com/finance/credit-cards/credit-card-payoff-calculator/

3) Get pissed. It's ok to be frustrated. Let that fuel you!

4) Find a tracking tool to use to track every payment you make. You can use everydollar but I found I liked a simple excel file better.

5) Take action and track it! Every extra dollar, birthday money (yep, grammy's $30 goes towards your debt), sell some shit if you have to, and put it towards paying off your debt!

*I am not an expert or providing financial advice and I cannot guarantee this method will work for you. I use my own personal experiences to provide you with the steps I personally took to get to where I am today. Remember, I can help pave the road for you, whether you want it to be a dirt or rock road, but if you do nothing with it, that's your own asphalt.
