#37 - THE PRINCESS BRIDE (1987) - Justin's #1 Film
A gentle grandfatherly man named Justin sits down with his ill podcasters and tells them a story. The story is one that has been passed down from father to son for generations. As the hagrid old looking man reads the story, the action comes alive. The story is a classic tale of love and adventure as the beautiful Buttercup eating Michael, engaged to the odious Prince Humperdinck-esque Dylan is kidnapped and held against her will in order to start a war, It is up to Dread Pirate Zack (her childhood beau, named Wesley) to save her. On the way he meets a thief named Dan and his hired helpers, an accomplished wordsman named Jerrion and a huge, super strong giant of a podcaster named Phil, both of whom become Westley's companions in his quest. And Chris Harvey might show up.
AND if you don't know what THE PRINCESS BRIDE is about;
The Princess Bride is a 1987 American fantasy adventure comedy-drama film directed and co-produced by Rob Reiner, starring Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, Mandy Patinkin, Chris Sarandon, Wallace Shawn, André the Giant, and Christopher Guest. Adapted by William Goldman from his 1973 novel The Princess Bride, it tells the story of a farmhand named Westley, accompanied by companions befriended along the way, who must rescue his true love Princess Buttercup from the odious Prince Humperdinck. The film preserves the novel's metafictional narrative style by presenting the story as a book being read by a grandfather (Peter Falk) to his sick grandson (Fred Savage).
