There is a misconception that because acting is an enjoyable job that many people enjoy just as a hobby, there is justification for low wages and a culture of taking the work that professional actors do for granted. In this episode I discuss where this illusion may have stemmed from and why actors shouldn't be willing to accept this as the norm simply through their desire to work.
