The Story of The Dalkey School Project
The Rathdown Media Podcast

The Story of The Dalkey School Project
In the early 1970s, two families in Dalkey in south Dublin came together and with considerable vision, courage and energy, established Ireland's first multidenominational school, the Dalkey School Project. Now in 2019, as the Educate Together movement expands into post primary education and has become the ethos of choice for so many parents in Ireland, this radio documentary I made with the help of the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland's Sound and Vision fund, tells the story of its origins. I'm working with Educate Together on a video story, and this documentary is a very useful archive of this wonderful story.
