University of Glasgow Research Fellow Dr Kevin Guyan joins Rob Gillett to discuss his new book Queer Data: Using Gender, Sex and Sexuality Data for Action. They start by discussing exactly what queer data is, before looking at the current issues with the collection, analysis and application of such data. They also discuss the concept of queer data competence and look at how useful or not the huge amounts of data collected by social media platforms and other digital companies can be to this area of research.
