How do we as creatives stay anchored in the reasons why we started creating in the first place? And how can we reclaim a sense of magic in our day to day life through story, ancient wisdom and working with our hands? These are some of the questions that we dive into in today's conversation with author Genevieve Gornichec, as well as her journey to becoming a published author, the Norse Mythology and Folklore that inspired both of her books, and so much more.
Genevieve Gornichec earned her degree in history from The Ohio State University, where her study of the Norse myths and Icelandic sagas became her writing inspiration. Her debut novel, The Witch's Heart, was released in 2021 and has been translated into over a dozen languages. Her sophomore novel, The Weaver and the Witch Queen, was released in 2023. She lives in Cleveland, Ohio, USA.
