In the last couple of months we were able to get tapped in with Chicago artist and producer Neak’s work and have quickly become a big fan of his style. We were lucky enough to connect with him on Instagram a few weeks back and honored to have him as a guest on the show this week! Neak discussed his 15 plus year run in music putting out many solo projects while also collaborating with fellow Chicago natives like Rashid Hadee, Rita J and many more. He described the process of his most recent release titled “A Film Called Black” created with fellow producer and musician Cam Be detailing the 3 year process and overall rollout that was conceived to give the project a lot of momentum before its drop date in June. Neak also detailed with us his plans to not only continue to release his own work and produce for other artists, but also to help educate the next generation of fellow music makers and get involved in other ways in his community. We’re very impressed not only with Neak’s meaningful tracks and overall message but with his down to earth personality that makes him someone fit to provide a lot of value to others.
