Bernadette was routinely invited by her new GP to have a Well Woman Check, she was shocked to find that she had very high cholesterol.
It made her realise that having regular check ups with regard to your health was paramount. Initially Bernadette thought healthy eating and regular exercise would make a difference.
However once her consultant had discovered how blocked arteries were, she was immediately told that she would require medication. That routine check up, saved Bernadette's life, as a build up of cholesterol could have led to a heart attack or stroke. Bernadette now leads a fulfilled, happy healthy life and is grateful for that early intervention.
