Hot tubs and swim spas are available at a variety of price points and in a range of styles and sizes. Self-contained acrylic hot tubs are the most popular type. They can accommodate between two and ten people and offer a wide range of features. Less expensive options include inflatable hot tubs, soft tubs and liner hot tubs. For a more rustic look, timber hot tubs are also available. These tubs resemble wine barrels and may be heated with wood. Swim spas, also called exercise spas, are designed for swimming and aquatic exercise. They may include special features such as hydrotherapy jets and counter-current units that allow you to swim in place. Swim spas come in single-chamber and dual-chamber models. Dual-chamber swim spas have separate areas for swimming and relaxing, each with its own temperature control.
