Amelia Brodka is obsessed with skateboarding. She has spent the majority of her life honing her skills, and has done well as an international competitor, including in the 2020 Olympics. But she noticed very early on that skateboarding had an equity problem. For her USC senior thesis, she made a documentary film called Underexposed, about the systemic inequities that have disproportionately impacted female-identifying and non-traditional skateboarders. It was a huge success and suddenly Amelia had a new obsession: helping others.
