We’re taking you on a booty journey around the world to explore social and cultural contexts that influence our experiences of pleasure. Dr. Jess O’Reilly joins us, along with four educators from India, Singapore, Germany, and South Africa, to talk about what anal conversations are like outside of North America. - How does culture, social context and geography influence how we think about anal sex? - What happens where there isn’t enough access to comprehensive sex education? - How do laws, myths and taboo show up in bedrooms around the world? In some places it’s really hard to get access to sex toys or you might not have the privacy to keep them. Smaller toys can be easier for discretion and beginners. The Vibrating Snug Plug 1 is about the size of a thumb, has a flared base for safety and easy removal. Shop at www.bvibe.com and save 25% off b-Vibe branded products with code WORLDOFANAL, code expires March 16, 2022. Jess O’Reilly is a sex and relationship expert with a background in education. Ep 8 - Get on the (Pelvic) Floor with Anal | Dr. UC
What does your pelvic floor have to do with anal sex? Dr. Uchenna “UC” Ossai, pelvic health physiotherapist and sex educator talks with us about what these muscles have to do with sex. Some of us think about the pelvic floor and immediately think kegel exercises, but Dr. UC gets us in deeper with answers to questions like: - Does anal sex result in anal prolapse? - Should you be doing kegel exercises regularly? - How are the muscles in the anus regulated by our nervous system? We had lots of laughter in this informative and playful episode. You’ll have to listen to learn what Dr. UC’s butthole would wear if it had her same awesome fashion sense! Like any muscle, the muscles engaged during anal pleasure benefit from training. Using sex toys designed for anal penetration can help your butt adjust to penetration, prevent injury and increase pleasure. Get playful with b-Vibe’s Triplet Anal Beads! The Triplet Anal Beads are non-intimidating but powerful for pleasure AND they come with a remote so you can go hands free. Use code LUNA to save 30% off b-Vibe products at www.bvibe.com Dr. Uchenna “UC” Ossai is a sex-positive pelvic health physical therapist and sexuality educator and counselor. Dr. UC is an assistant professor at the University of Texas Dell Medical School and also serves as pelvic health program manager at UT Health Austin. She is on faculty for the University of Michigan, School of Social Work’s Sexual Health Certification Program. Dr. UC is one of few licensed physical therapists in the world with an AASECT certification in sexuality counseling; as well as the only Black physical therapist with this specific designation. Dr. UC spends her days treating people with both sexual and pelvic floor dysfunction, and her evenings educating the masses on everything that has to do with “sexytime”. When it comes to sexual intelligence and great sex education, UC embraces always being unapologetically real, happily crunk, and deliciously kind. Visit www.youseelogic.com to find more Dr. UC! You won’t be disappointed following her Instagram @youseelogic where you can tune into her Q&A series Truth or Nonsense and Bourbon Tales.
