I met Xavier McKnight when we were roomates at my very first NABJ Conference back in 2017, then again when I created the groupchat for a podcast idea back in 2020 so I've watched him grow as a media professional. On the eve of Savannah State's homecoming week, I called my guy up to talk about his journey from Savannah State University in Georgia to being a sports director at ABC7 Sarasota in South Florida.
