In this episode, we sit down to discuss the alarmingly prevalent issue of coercive control and men's violence against women in Australia. Yes, we're no longer sugar coating it with labels like family violence or domestic violence. We're calling it what it is. Statistics tell us that every week, a woman is murdered by a man in Australia. The numbers are terrifying, and if a human being was killed weekly in our country by any other mode - say terrorism, a shark attack, a fucking faulty iphone that explodes - whatever, the country would be in complete uproar. Yet still, we as a society seem to struggle to address this issue without wanting to bury our heads in the sand, change the subject or not bother those around you with ‘heavy’ subjects of conversation. But we've had enough of that bullshit, and Tori wanted to facilitate a conversation about it within the Peaches networks.TW - this episode discusses violence and coercive control.
