La mia CASA è la mia MACCHINA DA CORSA – Mattia Drudi PASSa da noi 🇮🇹

ITA 🇮🇹

ENG 🇬🇧

By telling his stories, Mattia Drudi manages to take you with him behind the scenes in the life of a professional driver, both off the track and when he climbs into the cockpit to drive. We at The Pass met him in San Marino at the headquarters of Drue Speed, the company that takes care of his career under the supervision of his father, on the occasion of our visit. Throughout our Track Talk, Mattia shared the value of the opportunities that he exploited to turn his passion into his job and he did so with great humility, underlining how important it is to calibrate your goals according to the situation you find yourself in, while always maintaining the necessary professionalism.

Motorsport immediately smells like home for the native of Rimini born in 1998, as he is just a child when he starts following in the footsteps of father Luca. The karting years and the first successes are only the appetiser of a career destined to prove full of races that see him as a protagonist in various categories, claiming second place in Italian Formula 4 as well as in the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia before winning the Italian GT Endurance Championship and later the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup. All of his experiences in GT cars, DTM, prototypes and even formulas, including Formula E, outline an adventure made of continuous travels around the world and sacrifices to make his dream more and more concrete, handling the pressure, the doubts and the mixed emotions that Mattia told us about.

Currently competing in his eleventh season with racing cars as well as in his first one as an Aston Martin factory driver after serving in the same role at Audi Sport for five years and working on his development activities with Sauber’s Formula 1 simulator, Mattia teaches that when one door closes, you must know how to look elsewhere to open another one.
