Il PILOTA CANNIBALE del KARTING! Al POSTO GIUSTO – Jonathan Thonon PASSa da noi 🇮🇹

ITA 🇮🇹

ENG 🇬🇧

Jonathan Thonon takes you under the helmet of a champion at the last lap of a world championship and at the same time in the shoes of a person dealing with everyday life. We at The Pass met him at the Franciacorta Karting Track on the occasion of Round 1 of the WSK Euro Series, an event that Jonathan attended as a driver coach and, we were hosted by WSK Promotion in the WSK Business Lounge. Throughout our Track Talk, Jonathan opened up without filters, sharing his experiences as a driver, a professional and a father, while revealing what motorsport has given him and also what it has taken away.

Born in Belgium in 1986, his passion for racing already develops during his childhood, when he gets behind the wheel of a go-kart at the age of seven. The shy child who seeks the support of his older sister when someone speaks to him finds in this environment the ideal space to grow into a determined man, capable of triumphing on the track and communicating off it. Nicknamed “the Cannibal” because of his insatiable hunger for victory, he becomes a four-time world champion and writes several chapters in the history of karting, challenging multiple generations of future Formula 1 drivers: from Sebastian Vettel and Nico Hülkenberg to Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc, making crucial choices and taking on significant responsibilities, which Jonathan told us about.

Currently busy in another season as a driver coach, Jonathan teaches that the definition of our own happiness, our personal satisfaction and our place in the world is entirely up to us.
