CONTRO i miei DEMONI per VINCERE TUTTO – Paolo De Conto PASSa da noi 🇮🇹

ITA 🇮🇹

ENG 🇬🇧

When he tells his story, Paolo De Conto can be touching and hilarious at the same time. We at The Pass met him at the Franciacorta Karting Track on the occasion of Round 1 of the WSK Open Series, an event that Paolo attended to compete in the premier class of karting with the Parolin Motorsport team. Throughout our Track Talk, Paolo delved deep into a passion that gave him the strength to react to a great disappointment and get back in the game after four years of absence from circuits.

The native of Treviso born in 1992 finds himself driving a kart almost “by accident”, but that small four-wheeled vehicle immediately makes him very happy and rapidly turns into a central aspect of his life. The freedom he feels behind the wheel translates into his speed on track, which over time sees him as a protagonist on the international karting scene and leads him to win two world championships as well as three European championships. From the decision to bet everything on karting to the choice of retiring at the age of 27, to then decide to return to racing, always with the ability to exploit a scar to fuel his motivation and with the awareness of being able to be who he always knew he could become, despite the defeats and the insecurities that Paolo told us about.

Currently racing in his first full season after the break, Paolo demonstrates that you can always get back up after falling down because motorsport is full of ups and downs, just like everyday life, and when you hit rock bottom, the only way is up.
