As we celebrate our nation's independence, we must confront the alarming problems that threaten our progress.
Rising income inequality and poverty,
Corruption and governance issues,
Gender-based violence and discrimination
are some of the key issues.
Unless we acknowledge these challenges and a call to action. Independence will remain questionable.
