We sit down with Wigan poet and story teller James Walton for a mini episode. Whilst christening our new studio, James gives us a condensed insight into life as a writer.
James is constantly trying breaking the stigma of being a poet, and tries to make poetry more accessible to the working class. By tapping into the nostalgia of growing up in northern towns, James brings the fun back to poetry and story telling, and has audiences belly laughing across the area. It hasn't been easy though.
The poetry scene is often a difficult space to operate in, and James helps us understand the struggles of being a writer in the modern era. Stick around until the end to hear an extract from one of his two book releases.
