If the Ohio Redistricting Commission can’t agree on rules, how will its members be able to agree on a map?
The Ohio Redistricting Commission met last week. Ohio Statehouse Scoop Host Jo Ingles reports there was disagreement over the parliamentary process to use for the meeting. And there still wasn’t a public map that the Republican supermajority could support. Later, Ohio Public Media Statehouse News Bureau Chief Karen Kasler and Reporter Sarah Donaldson join the discussion to talk about the future of redistricting as well as some important bills to change hemp laws and lower property taxes. And as the government shutdown continues, there are questions about whether Ohio food stamp recipients will be able to get those benefits after this Friday if an agreement isn’t reached. It’s all this week in the Ohio Statehouse Scoop.
