***SYNOPSIS WITH SPOILERS***
The narrator of this haunting poem tells us of the warning his mother gave him to avoid the Maple Woods. The dangers there are not creatures and if you lose something there, leave it because if you stay too long, the roots will grow over your feet and you will turn into a tree. Then the real danger will be the maple syrup men that come to collect your sap.
