On November 2, 2016, 34-year-old Sherrie Papini disappeared while jogging near her home in Redding, California. Three weeks later, Papini was found on the side of Route 5. 150 miles south of Redding.
Papini reported being abducted at gunpoint by two Hispanic females. Later, DNA tests identified both male and female traces of two unidentified persons. Later, DNA testing identified the male as James Reyes Papini's ex-boyfriend.
