Rolf Potts on How to See the World

Rolf Potts on How to See the World
Today’s guest on the podcast is Rolf Potts, travel writer, teacher and life long adventurer. Most known for his book Vagabonding: An Uncommon Guide to the Art of Long Term Travel, Rolf has spent his life traveling to over 60 countries, interacting and immersing himself amongst a wide range of cultures, and sharing everything he has learned with his readers and students. Through his methods, Rolf has been able to do what people typically think is impossible and build his life around seeing the world.

This episode was close to the heart for me as Rolf’s book actually inspired me to take off on my two month backpacking trip across Vietnam and Thailand. Much of what he stated in the book, I tested on my own and utilized his advice to make my trip one of the most incredible and transformational experiences of my life.

In today’s episode, we discuss Rolf’s personal travels and how he has been able to go to over 60 countries, the common fears and misconceptions that people have when it comes to travel, tips and pieces of advice that he has for anyone who is thinking about setting off on a trip and much more.
