The nature of well-being aims to gather and share stories about the mental, physical, and spiritual benefits of spending time in nature. We believe that the wilderness provides a crucial environment for people to find answers to those deeper questions in life and satisfy their biological need for things like meaning, purpose and a spiritual connection to the world them. This podcast grew out of the documentary project, "Mind, Body, and Soul: the Nature of Well-being." While filming interviews for the movie we realized that these stories needed to be shared with the world.

Tony Pompa discusses how he started his company called True North Expeditions, Inc. where he guides his clients on all sorts of outdoor adventures from hiking, to kayaking, to yoga and more. Tony talks about how people nowadays, generally speaking, do not take time for themselves and how nature expeditions are a good remedy for that. He also discusses the importance of stretching while hiking and how they started to incorporate yoga into their trips.
