S3 EP4 - 2025 Rookies of the Year
On this episode, we catch up with the inaugural winners of the Western Mustangs Rookie of the Year awards, Zea Wetzlaugk (Swimming) & Kohl Kletke (Men's Rugby).
Both had outstanding seasons in 2024-25 and were recognized during the 2025 Mustangs Awards.
Zea won a silver medal (50 Free) & bronze medal (100 Free) while also taking home silver medals with the Women's 4x100 Free Relay & Women's 4x50 Free Relay teams at the OUA Championship. She was also named OUA Women's Rookie of the Year. She also won bronze at the U SPORTS Championship in the Women's 50M Free.
Kole led the OUA with 90 points, while starting in all six of Western's regular season games. He scored eight tries, kicked 22 converts, and two penalty goals in his rookie year. He was given OUA Rookie of the Year honours at the year end sport awards.
