Episode 38: Goodbye to the Good Girl

In this episode of the Mushroom Mamasita Podcast, a powerful, soul-baring conversation about breaking free from “good girl” conditioning and reclaiming the self.

From a childhood shaped by instability, silence, and shame, my guest shares how she learned to dissociate, self-soothe, and survive only to find herself later trapped in a "safe" marriage that looked perfect on paper but left her unfulfilled and unseen.

Through the healing power of plant medicine, dance, and fierce self-honesty, she began to unravel generational trauma, heal her nervous system, and reconnect with her daughters in new, profound ways. We dive into themes of people-pleasing, shame, sexuality, divorce, motherhood, and the lonely but liberating path of rewilding.

This is an episode for every woman who has ever felt too scared to take up space. This story is a reminder that you were born whole, lovable, and worthy of joy.

Every episode I will share a book that I feel supports the message or theme of each show. I feel called to share The Magdalen Manuscript by Tom Kenyon

Listener discretion is advised: This podcast discusses sensitive topics related to trauma, abuse, addiction and psychedelic therapy, which may be sensitive or triggering for some listeners.  I encourage listeners to engage mindfully and take care of themselves throughout the conversation.
