Welcome to season two of Multifaceted.
I wanted to begin with a conversation with a friend, colleague and student of mine, Bergen Hyde.
Inspired by her own journey through the sacred mystery of personal transformation, Bergen has spent the last four years devoting her energy to creating spaces and resources for women to find their way through their own "dark nights of the soul."
As a Dark Night Doula, Bergen has personally guided hundreds of women through reintegrating the sacred feminine, deconstructing internalized patriarchy, and reclaiming personal sovereignty. She is training under her teacher, Sarah Durham Wilson, as a Wounded Maiden to Mature Feminine Facilitator and offers one-on-one coaching, courses, and workshops for women seeking to heal and come home to themselves.
She lives in Provo, Utah with her partner and three children.
Our hour long conversation was filled with a passionate and heartfelt conversation about the mature feminine, the way we meet and navigate the patriarchal culture, the integration we do through this work we do individually as women. We spoke to the way we bring this to the men in our lives as it pertains the new world we are creating through healing the feminine wound.
We also touched on the initiation that is known as the dark night of the soul, and Bergen's personal story and how she now supports women as they too navigate this chapter of their lives.
