Lila and Bea are back with another delicious and refreshing summer cocktail, the Paloma. Which, come to find out, has a confusing and unsure background thanks to some east coast bartenders who had some fun with Wikipedia.
The Paloma cocktail is currently a fan favorite among suburban moms across the country, the irony is this refreshing summer cocktail actually started thanks to a horribly named soda pop drink, cheap tequila and some limes. The Paloma is also known in Mexico as the poor man's margarita.
Nonetheless, hipster bartenders across the United States revamped the somewhat seedy drink sometime in the early 2000's to create what is the modern day Paloma we drink now. A cocktail made with grapefruit, tequila and lime. Delicious.
In addition to discussing the entertaining and tasty Paloma cocktail, Bea explains how to make this perfect summer drink and shares what she's loving this week (hint: it involves more old family recipes). Lila shares another fantastic Euro travel story where she's in Ibiza. This is can't miss listening people!
