Shardul (Rajkummar Rao), a police inspector and Sumi (Bhumi Pednekar), the PT teacher get into a lavender marriage by using the shield of a real Indian marriage. Shardul, a gay and Sumi, a lesbian fake this relationship to be with their lovers and to convince society. But the truth comes out ultimately, and slowly their family also approves the same. With this approval, they are also able to adopt a child.
