He first burst onto the Olympic scene at London 2012, where he won two bronze medals in the pommel horse and men’s team competition. Following further World, European and Commonwealth success, Whitlock created even more history at Rio 2016 where he won bronze in the all-around - Great Britain’s first medal in the event for 108 years. He followed this up by becoming the first British individual gold medallist with victory in both the floor and pommel horse events.
In this week’s podcast, Max talks Radzi through the time he met his idol – Japanese gymnast Kōhei Uchimura, why he moved to Slovenia aged 11 and how his perspective on life has changed following the birth of his daughter Willow.
