Baby Farms of the 19th Century

In the Victorian Era, if you got caught in the "family way" you had two choices 1) enter into the workhouse's (which were akin to prisons) or 2) give your baby up to the care of the baby farmers.

Both were terrible choices but at least with the baby farmers, you could go back to an independent life and work freely, the draw back was that you may not see your baby alive again...
