I knew without a shadow of a doubt that I couldn’t spend the next 40 years of my life clocking in for a job. It was my first day back from my vacation to Seattle… Actually, I had been back for a day or two but you gotta have that buffer time before you go back to work. But yea, honestly this was probably the biggest turning point of my so far. Just because it was this moment that I decided to quit my job. I wouldn’t actually do it for another 2 years but it was definitely a core memory that affected most of my decisions from that day forward. Because from there I started learning new skills. Apparently, they’re called High income skills. I had no idea at the time. I just liked taking pictures, so I started learning photography. Then video. Then podcast. Then social media & content. E-commerce, drop shipping, digital products then marketing. That trip to Seattle was more than just a vacation - it was an awakening. The realization that I wasn’t meant to be confined to a 9-to-5 sparked a fire in me, a flame that would gradually grow into a light of freedom and self-realization. But realizing and actualizing are two different things. It took me two years of patience, two years of juggling my job and my passions, two years of working in the shadows of my dreams before I could finally cut the cords that tied me down. It was a process that was as much about self-discovery as it was about acquiring high income skills. At the time, I didn't realize the enormity of what I was doing. I was simply following my curiosity, exploring what interested me. In retrospect, however, I can see that each new skill was a stepping stone on the path towards my true calling. And with each step, I was not just moving away from my old life, but also moving closer to my ideal life. Looking back, that day, the first day back from Seattle, was the day I started building the life I have today. It's a reminder that sometimes, our biggest turning points don't come from grand gestures, but from quiet decisions. Decisions to chase our dreams, to learn new things, and most importantly, to break free from what's expected of us.
